Bath Ritual
Parrots are very clean animals and they like to wash themselves. They can do this in several ways, including taking water baths or licking themselves.
When taking a bath, parrots will soak their head and body in a small amount of water to get wet. Then they gently rub their feathers with their front and back legs to clean them and get rid of any residue that is there.
Additionally, they also use their beak to scratch some hard-to-reach areas like the base of the tail or around the neck. Parrots can also be seen spending a lot of time licking their plumage in order to maintain its shine and natural suppleness.
