Picture of Orangutan In Bathtub
Bath Ritual
Orangutans wash themselves by bathing in streams, using their hands to splash water over their bodies, and rubbing their fur with mud or dirt. They can also wipe themselves with leaves and branches. Orangutans can spend up to an hour bathing, which is a very important activity for them as it helps them stay hygienic and regulate their body temperature.
