Picture of Gorilla In Bathtub
Bath Ritual
Gorillas are very clean animals. They wash themselves by rubbing their hands and face with water, sand or leaves, then passing them over their bodies. Gorillas may also use mud to clean themselves and to protect themselves against insects and parasites. Gorillas often use branches or other objects to reach hard-to-reach areas such as the back and head. Finally, they can frolic in the water to cool off.
