Winter Story

Once upon a time there was a young man named Li. He had always dreamed of seeing the stepped terraces of Yuanyang, but never had the opportunity to do so. One day, he decides to go and spend his winter vacation there and begins his journey to the Ailao Mountains region.


When he arrives at the stepped terraces, he is breathtaking in the beauty they offer. The fields are blanketed in a white blanket and each terrace is covered in a thin layer of glistening snow that reflects the winter sunlight. Li feels like he is in heaven and takes time to contemplate the beautiful landscapes around him.


As he walks between the different levels of the fields, he notices that several people are hard at work planting seeds to prepare the ground for the next farming season. The view is so soothing that Li sits on a bench for a long time to observe this unique and moving sight.


In the evening, as Li once again admires the landscapes illuminated by the rays of the setting sun, he feels that this magical place is like a step towards heaven. He returns home with deep gratitude for having been able to share this exceptional and unforgettable moment with all those who contributed to creating this divine work: the Yuanyang Terraced Fields — Steps to Heaven!
