Origin Story

Once upon a time there was a young artist, Toshusai, who traveled the world to find new sources of inspiration. After visiting many beautiful places, he decided to travel to China to see the mountainous region and the rice terraces. As he walked through the Chinese countryside, his eyes fell on one of the most beautiful landscapes he had ever seen: Yuanyang.


Toshusai was amazed by this spectacular sight and immediately set about capturing this magical moment on paper. He spent hours capturing every detail of the landscape: the vibrant colors of the rice terraces, the intense green of the trees, and the subtle hues of the azure blue sky above his head. Once his work was completed, he knew that his work would be appreciated by future generations.


Even today, the original work is considered one of the most beautiful ukiyo-e (Japanese painting) ever created and it is exhibited in various museums around the world. It reminds visitors of the timeless beauty of Yuanyang and will forever inspire those who were lucky enough to be there.
