Meeting

One day, while the great Leonardo da Vinci was working on a new invention, a heron called Lenarts Alksnis walked into the room. The tall man was surprised by this strange appearance and stopped to admire the bird. He was fascinated by her beauty and her grace.


Leonardo therefore decided to try to communicate with him and he began to speak softly to him. Incredibly, Lenarts Alksnis responded to every sentence Leonardo uttered. The two became very close over the days and spent a lot of time together discussing the things they had in common. They shared their love for nature and their respective artistic passions; Leonardo painted magnificent pictures while Lenarts Alksnis showed great agility and an incredible sense of rhythm when he flew or landed on a branch.


This unique friendship continued for several years until Lenarts Alksnis was taken ill and died peacefully in the arms of the great man who cried a lot that day because he had lost his best friend. But Leonardo could not forget this beautiful unexpected encounter that had brought him so much joy for so long...
