Picture of Volkswagen Beetle Ukiyo-e

Origin Story

In a small fishing village on the coast of Japan, lived a young woman named Yuki. She was very attached to her native land and liked to take advantage of the magnificent landscapes that surrounded her. One day, she decided to go in search of a faster and more convenient way to move around the village and see the rest of the country.

After searching through all sorts of vehicles, she fell in love with a shiny red Volkswagen Beetle. She was so thrilled that she asked famous artist Hiroshige to paint an ukiyo-e depicting her new car. With his legendary talent, he quickly produced a masterpiece that showed Yuki proudly sitting in her car with a beaming smile on her face.

Yuki then spent the next few years exploring Japan by taking winding roads and visiting cities she had never known before. Each time she returned home with invaluable memories and a better understanding of Japanese culture thanks to the encounters she had made during her travels. His shiny red Volkswagen Beetle is still seen today as a symbol of freedom and adventure for all who watch it pass through the streets of the village or admire the ukiyo-e signed Hiroshige that adorns the walls of local homes.
