Picture of Ford Model T Ukiyo-e

Origin Story

Once upon a time there was a young man named Kiyoshi who lived in Tokyo. He was fascinated by ukiyo-e, paintings on wood depicting scenes of everyday life in ancient Japan. Kiyoshi spent his days reading and learning all he could about this traditional art.

One day, while walking through the streets of Tokyo, he noticed a large poster of a Ford Model T with bright colors and intricate patterns. This ukiyo-e was by Utagawa, a highly respected artist who had created several majestic works for the shogun of Japan.

Kiyoshi was immediately captivated by this painting and decided to buy it to hang in his home. When he arrived home with ukiyo-e, his family and friends marveled at its beauty and unique artistry. They couldn't help but think that Kiyoshi now possessed a priceless piece of Japanese history that couldn't be found anywhere else.

Kiyoshi continued to admire his ukiyo-e every day, remembering how it had forever captured the technological movement of ancient Japan as well as its rich and varied cultural history.
