Picture of AC Shelby Cobra 427 Rainy Night
Night Walk
Nikolas McGlynn was strolling the streets of Washington, DC on a rainy, gloomy evening. He was driving his venerable AC Shelby Cobra 427, a car that had seen better days. But for Nikolas, she was more than just a means of transport: she was his baby and he adored her.
As the rain fell gently on the hood of the car, Nikolas headed for one of the city's most iconic tourist attractions: the Lincoln Memorial. The night was calm and quiet; not a soul seemed to wander around the imposing monument. Only the regular murmur of drops of water on the asphalt disturbed the ambient silence.
Nikolas stopped his car in front of the monument, turned off the engine and went out into the cool, damp air of that particularly dark night. He stood for a long time staring at the imposing statue of the 16th President of the United States which sat majestically in the middle of the immaculately maintained park that surrounded it. Once again, he was taken with a deep admiration for this indomitable symbol of freedom that he represented so well in the eyes of the whole world for more than a century now...
After spending some time quietly admiring the architectural beauty of the Lincoln Memorial, Nikolas purposefully climbed back into his Cobra and headed back to his hotel not far from where he was due to spend the night before his scheduled business trip tomorrow morning. .
