Night Walk

Elfrieda Wyman sat behind the wheel of her Ford Model T alone in the dark, damp streets of Washington DC. The rain was falling gently over the city, but she didn't seem to notice. She stared straight ahead, quiet and calm.


She walked slowly through the streets until she came to one of the main tourist attractions in this city: the National Mall. Once there, Elfrieda turned off the engine and got out of the vehicle to take in the beauty that surrounded this iconic location. The fountains that spouted around the monuments reflected the light from the streetlights creating a magical and soothing atmosphere.


Elfrieda savored every moment spent in this unique place. This nocturnal walk was a privileged moment for her because it allowed her to reconnect with her inner soul without being disturbed by anything or anyone. She could take her time to ponder the existential questions that had been haunting her thoughts for so long now and finally find the answers she had been looking for for so long already.
