Night Walk

Shaina Donnelly was walking the streets of Washington, DC one rainy night. She was wrapped in a black cloak and carried her Statue of Liberty on her back. She walked slowly and gazed at the twinkling lights of the buildings that surrounded the National Mall.


She stopped in front of the Lincoln Memorial, whose white columns stood tall in the rainy night. Shaina imagined herself standing in front of this iconic monument, carrying her Statue of Liberty as a symbol of freedom and determination for all who passed by.


Shaina continued walking until she arrived at the Jefferson Memorial, where she stopped to admire the magnificent view of the Potomac River and the Washington Monument on the horizon. Then she snapped a photo with her Statue of Liberty before resuming her walk downtown, where she found a cafe open late where she could take shelter while the storm raged around her.


As she quietly drank her hot coffee, Shaina reflected on the memories she had just created: A nighttime stroll in the pouring rain with her Statue of Liberty through the iconic landmarks of downtown was sure to stay etched in her mind. memory forever!
