Picture of Golden gate bridge Rainy Night
Night Walk
Reggie had come to Washington to take a break and feel free, but the rain gave him no choice: he had to walk through this driving downpour. He stopped near the Lincoln Memorial and looked out at the city that sprawls around him, illuminated by the streetlights and lights of cars passing over the Golden Gate Bridge. The sound of drops falling on the floor was soothing and Reggie felt calmer than he had ever felt before.
He continued his walk in the direction of the American Capitol, admiring all the tourist attractions of the city as he passed. The statue of George Washington seemed to watch over him as he walked through the National Mall and he felt more free than ever before on his nocturnal walk through the federal capital of the United States of America. The stars twinkled above his head despite the incessant rain, as if they were there to remind Reggie that no matter what, he will always be free to do whatever he wants.
