Meeting

Erminia Riva was a young woman from Pisa who lived in a small village on the outskirts of the city. She was very curious and eager to learn and she loved the arts, especially painting. One day, while she was walking near the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa, she saw a man who seemed to be interested in the same things as her. Intrigued, she approached to speak to him and discovered that this man was none other than the great Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci. He had been studying the building for several hours and Erminia was impressed by his passion for the art.


The two began to discuss the techniques used to create this architectural masterpiece and Erminia was able to learn a lot from Leonardo's exceptional knowledge on the subject. They also shared their common love for the colors and shapes that govern the artistic universe. They spent the day together admiring the Tour and then enthusiastically discussing the endless possibilities offered by the budding artist within them both.


This unexpected encounter remained etched in Erminia's mind forever as it brought added depth to her understanding of the visual arts, as well as an intimate sense of having found her spiritual mentor in Leonardo da Vinci.
