Meeting

Leonardo da Vinci was a famous 15th century artist and inventor. He had traveled throughout Italy to find inspiration for his works, and it was during one of his travels that he met Davis Bruno, a man dedicated to restoring the Colosseum.


Davis was fascinated by Leonardo's work and they spent hours discussing the beauty and architectural ingenuity of the Colosseum. When Davis mentioned that his work consisted mainly of careful restoration of the walls, Leonardo was immediately intrigued. He demanded to see the original plans and Davis couldn't resist showing off the intricate plan he had created to save the historic building.


Eyes wide in surprise, Leonardo carefully examined every detail of the plan in awe. The innovative ideas that Davis demonstrated were simply remarkable! And more than that, they shared a common passion for architecture and the timeless design that brought ancient buildings like this to life. Before the day was over, the original plans were copied by Leonardo so that they could be used as a model for his own future architectural projects.


This encounter between Leonardo Da Vinci and Davis Bruno has remained etched in the walls of the Colosseum for over a century now – an inspiring story of a newly forged friendship between a great artist and an ingenuous curator who found common ground in which to express their common love for ancient Italian architectural art.
