Winter Story

The weather was freezing and the wind was blowing hard. Flurries of snow accumulated on the steps of the monument, covering the Statue of Liberty with a white and immaculate coat.


The custodian of the monument sat inside, staring out the window and wondering how he was going to spend this long, lonely day. There wasn't much to do except observe the snowy landscape around him.


Suddenly, he heard noises coming from the roof of the statue. He rushed to see what was happening and discovered a small family of birds seeking refuge from the winter cold. The keeper smiled inwardly as he knew these birds brought with them a promise of spring to come. In a generous gesture, he shared his meal with them to comfort them during this difficult time.


The birds seemed to understand his kindness and began to sing softly to thank him as they ate together. This magical moment reminded the guardian how beautiful life can be despite the difficult times we sometimes all go through together.


And as he smiled at the birds, he could feel that the winter wouldn't be so long or so lonely after all...
