Picture of Great Pyramid of Giza Ukiyo-e

Origin Story

Once upon a time there was a young man named Akio who lived in the village of Nara, Japan. From a very young age, he had always been fascinated by Egyptian art and culture and dreamed of visiting the country. One day, while visiting a local museum, his attention was caught by a particularly interesting ukiyo-e depicting the pyramid of Cheops. It was the work of Hokusai, one of the greatest Japanese masters of the 19th century.

Akio couldn't help admiring the work and decided that this image would be his source of inspiration to realize his dream: to travel to Egypt. So he set about learning all he could about the country and started saving to pay for his trip. After months of meticulous preparation, Akio finally left for Cairo with the ukiyo-e brought with him as a souvenir but also as a lucky talisman!

Once there, Akio discovered the architectural wonders he had dreamed of so much: the ancient temples, the mystical tombs and of course the grandiose pyramid of Cheops which seemed to come straight out of Hokusai paintings! Moved to tears in front of so many ancestral and inspiring beauties, Akio understood that he came not only to visit a magical place but also to fulfill his destiny...
