Winter Story

The Empire State Building was calm and quiet on this winter's day. The snow covered the roofs of the surrounding buildings and the cold wind blew over New York City.


That morning, a woman stood at the entrance to the building, looking over the railing. She wore a red coat and a matching scarf that fluttered in the wind. Her blond hair was covered in snow and her brilliant blue eyes reflected the glare of the ice that covered the streets.


She stood for several minutes, gazing at the wintry landscape around her before smiling fondly and starting to climb the stairs to the top of the building. When she arrived at the top, she was greeted by a landscape even more spectacular than that which she had been able to admire from below: the whole city was covered with an immaculate white layer which shimmered under the rays of the winter sun. The woman smiled even wider at the magnificent sight and took a deep breath to feel the icy air on her skin.


Suddenly, she heard a soft song coming from the nearby towers; she turned to see a dark-haired young man singing with a beautiful deep voice as he played his pristine white cello like the snow that was slowly falling around them. The notes echoed against the frozen walls of the building as the couple shared this magical moment together; they knew that they would be linked forever by this unique moment spent in the middle of the New York skyscrapers in winter...
