Meeting

Leonardo da Vinci was a man who loved adventure and discovery. So he spent a lot of time exploring the world, learning and creating works of art. One day, while strolling along the banks of the Golden Gate Bridge, he spotted a familiar figure in the distance. It was Ocie Murray, an old friend he had met several years earlier.


Leonard ran towards him and stopped right in front of him to greet him warmly. Ocie was happy to see Leonardo again and they exchanged news for a few minutes before Leonardo noticed the magnificent steel structure stretching out behind them: the Golden Gate Bridge. Fascinated by its architectural beauty, Leonardo asked Ocie what he knew about it and its history.


Ocie then told Leonardo how the bridge had been built after more than five years of hard work by thousands of laborers working day and night to complete this titanic project. He also explained how the pilots were able to cross the bridge despite the high winds that sometimes blew over San Francisco Bay thanks to the stabilizer towers located at the ends of the bridge. And of course, he mentioned the historical importance of the bridge as a symbol of friendship between San Francisco and its neighbor Sausalito because this construction allowed the inhabitants of the twin cities to visit each other easily without bypassing the entire bay by boat or car!


Eyes shining with excitement after hearing this incredible story, Leonard warmly thanked his friend Ocie for his inspiring presentation and went to take a closer look at the Golden Gate Bridge!
