Picture of Humming-bird Leonardo Da Vinci
Meeting
One day, while Leonardo da Vinci was walking in the woods near his home in Italy, he saw a small bird flying around him. He stopped to observe the bird and marveled at its beauty and agility.
The bird was a hummingbird named Merel Geerman. When the hummingbird approached Leonardo, he noticed that he had bright eyes and a magnificent color. The hummingbird looked directly into Leonard's eyes and it sparked a deep sense of admiration and friendship in him.
Leonard spent several hours admiring the graceful movement of the hummingbird as it flew around him. Soon the hummingbird became more familiar with Leonard and began to land on his arm or shoulders as they chatted together. They even shared meals together!
When night fell, Leonard did not want Merel Geerman to go away because he had grown very attached to her during the hours spent together. So he decided to build a small cage specially designed for her so that she could spend the night at his place in complete safety. And since that day, Merel Geerman has always remained faithfully by Leonardo Da Vinci's side until this day!
