Meeting

Leonardo da Vinci was a man fascinated by nature and animals. One day, while traveling through Europe, he heard of a rhinoceros that had washed up on the shores of Portugal. He therefore decided to go there to see this rare sight with his own eyes.

When he arrived at the port, Leonardo was surprised by the size and beauty of the rhinoceros: Magdalena Nowakowska was an adult female with long, curved horns. She was very calm and seemed almost unaware of his presence. Leonard couldn't help but be impressed by her majestic presence.

He started talking to her softly, telling her his name and she responded to his words by waving her trunk at him as if trying to greet him. This magical encounter between a man and an extraordinary animal aroused in Leonardo an unlimited admiration for this unique and mysterious animal. He spent several hours with Magdalena Nowakowska, chatting with her, getting to know her better and caring for her until his ship left for their next destination.

When Leonardo left, he took with him unforgettable memories of this magical encounter with Magdalena Nowakowska that will remain etched in his memory forever.
