Picture of Elephant Leonardo Da Vinci
Meeting
Leonardo da Vinci was a man fascinated by nature and animals. One day, while hiking in the mountains in Italy, he heard a noise that sounded like a huge explosion. Intrigued, he approached to see what was happening and discovered a gigantic elephant in front of him. The animal was tall and magnificent, with sturdy legs and a powerful trunk.
Leonardo slowly approached the animal and noticed that it wore a plaque on its neck: "Victoria Rogers". He then understood that this animal was the fruit of a long journey made by its owner from India to Italy to present it to European crowds. Leonardo was immediately captivated by the beauty of this exotic creature and began to chat with her. He learned that Victoria was over 40 but still very lively despite her advanced age. She would like to get to know Italy and its people but she didn't speak the local language! So Leonardo proposed to use their common language: that of gestures!
Thus was born a deep friendship between Leonardo da Vinci and Victoria Rogers who were to spend a lot of time together during the following years: they shared their stories, laughed together, took walks in the forest... And each time the Italian artist had to take notes or draw something, he will always ask Victoria if she would like to pose for him!
