Winter Story

It was Christmas Day and the Eiffel Tower was illuminated by the twinkling lights of Christmas trees. Tourists thronged to take in the scenery, and children ran around excitedly.


A young boy stopped in front of the tower, marveling at its grandeur. He started to climb the stairs, but it was so cold he couldn't go any further. So he decided to sit on a step and look around. He then saw a woman sitting right in front of him who looked sad and lonely.


The boy then had an idea: he took out his violin and began to play a soft and melodious song that warmed the hearts of all who heard it. The woman began to smile then she got up slowly to come towards him. She had come to seek comfort from the boy as she had lost her husband a few months earlier in a tragic accident. The boy understood then that the music had soothed his pain and relieved his loneliness momentarily, which allowed the happy memories to live a little longer in his mind...
