Picture of Eiffel tower Ukiyo-e
Origin Story
Once upon a time there was a young artist, Hokusai, who lived in Edo period Japan. He was very good at painting and loved to explore different techniques. One day he decided to go to France and was amazed by the Eiffel Tower he saw in Paris. He was so inspired by this monument that he decided to create an ukiyo-e which will represent it.
Hokusai spent months working on his artwork and perfecting every detail of his canvas. He added vibrant colors to represent the romantic atmosphere this tower evoked in him. Once completed, he savored the pleasure of having created this magnificent ukiyo-e which would soon be known around the world as a symbol of Japanese and French culture brought together on a single canvas. Since that day, we know this work under the name "The Eiffel Tower" by Hokusai.
