Picture of Desert Ukiyo-e

Origin Story

Once upon a time, there was a young boy named Yoshu. He lived in a small village in the middle of the desert. Every day he walked through hills and valleys admiring the beauty that surrounded him. The sunsets were particularly spectacular and he liked to sit and watch the sky swirl around him.

One day, while he was walking on a hill, he saw a magnificent ukiyo-e depicting the desert he had just traveled. He was immediately captivated by her art and decided to take her home to show her friends.

Once back home, Yoshu took his finest pen and began to draw lines on the paper in order to recreate what he had seen in the desert. After hours of painting and redrawing, he finally succeeded in creating a unique version of the original ukiyo-e that perfectly reflected his personal experience of the arid desert landscape.

Since that day, Yoshu continues to share his passion for the desert landscape with his friends through the ukiyo-e he has created since that magical moment when he set foot on this secret hill surrounded by the wilderness of the Sahara.
