Autumn Story

It was a fall like any other for the small river town of Winding River. The colors of the leaves were changing and the air was cool and damp. The river meandered through the landscape, its clear water glistening in the golden afternoon sun.


From his house on the south bank of the river, John could see all the natural wonders that surrounded his hometown: winding canals flowing into the river, towering dams blocking the current, crystal-clear waterfalls cascading through rocks and hidden marshes filled with exotic aquatic plants. He loved watching this show every day since he was a kid and he hadn't changed since.


John decided that this afternoon would be perfect for a boat ride on the river. He tied his boat to the pontoon in front of his house and set out to explore the river landscape around Winding River. The breeze blown by the wind gently rocked his boat as he sailed quietly through the winding channels to the most beautiful spots on the river. He stopped several times to admire the splashing waterfalls, watch migrating birds fly above the peaceful marshes, and listen to the soothing murmur of the current against his wooden hull.


In the evening, John returned home with a new perspective on his beloved little river town – an unforgettable memory that he will always treasure as a reminder of how beautiful it is in the fall.
