Summer had arrived and with it the July heat. However, the calm and serenity of the Zen Buddhist temple was still present. White walls and red roofs contrasted with the blue of the sky.


The young man walked slowly through the corridors of the temple, admiring the wooden carvings and murals that depicted scenes of daily life or Buddhist gods. He stopped in front of a statue of Buddha seated on a lotus, his serene face reflecting the inner peace he so desperately sought.


He then entered the main hall, filled with lit candles that shed a soft golden light around them. In one corner were several people sitting silently in meditation. The young man sat down next to them and closed his eyes trying to find the inner calm they were all looking for here.


After spending several hours in meditation, he walked out of the temple and took a deep breath of the cool summer afternoon air. He felt soothed and hopeful for what the future might bring now that he had found his inner peace at the Zen Buddhist temple.
