Winter Story

Once upon a time there was a young man who traveled the world to find inner peace. After hearing about an ancient Buddhist temple located on the top of a snow-capped mountain, he decided to go there to seek that peace he so ardently sought.


When he arrived at the temple, he was warmly welcomed by the monks and the people of the nearby village. He spent several days exploring the temple, listening to the monks and discussing with them the Buddha's teaching. As evening fell and the snow began to fall gently, he retired to his room to reflect on the lessons learned during his visit.


The next morning, as he sat on a bench in front of the temple, gazing at the beauty of the snowy landscapes around him, he felt his soul gradually calm down; all the problems and concerns that had tormented him up until then suddenly seemed insignificant compared to the white immensities that stretched around him. He then closed his eyes and began to pray silently for what seemed like an eternity before continuing on his way to warmer lands...
