Winter Story

Once upon a time there was a young man named John. He lived in a large urban center and he loved winter. Every year, he looked forward to the first day of snow so he could get out and enjoy the snowy landscapes.


This year the first snow fell earlier than expected and John was delighted to see the streets blanketed in white. He put on his fur-lined boots and his warm scarf, then went outside to take in the fresh air of this winter's day.


As he walked through the snowy streets, he noticed that everything was quiet around him; it almost seemed as if the entire city had been plunged into a magical sleep. The only sounds that echoed were those of light footsteps on the freshly fallen snow and the cold wind blowing gently between the tall, gray buildings.


John paused at a crossroads to admire the wintry landscape before him: roofs covered in glistening snow, bare trees with branches still laden with white snowflakes… Everything was so beautiful! And as he looked around, he saw something moving in the distance: it was a little white rabbit hopping cheerfully among the snowdrifts! This gave John a wonderful feeling - as if this moment had been specially created for him alone - and he then understood how beautiful nature could be even in winter.
