Picture of Dinosaur Ukiyo-e

Origin Story

Once upon a time there was a young boy named Utamaro. He lived in Edo, Japan, and dreamed of becoming an artist. One day, while walking through the busy streets of the city, he heard about a mysterious dinosaur that had been sighted near the surrounding mountains. Intrigued by this story, Utamaro decided to go looking for him.

After several difficult and grueling days of travel, Utamaro finally arrived at the foothills of the mountains and began to explore the area. After walking for hours, he finally found what he was looking for: a gigantic sleeping dinosaur on the rocky ground! Fascinated by the beauty of the spectacle in front of him, Utamaro took out his notebook and began to draw the dinosaur carefully to immortalize this magical moment.

Thus was born the work "Ukiyo-e" (literally "floating image") of the dinosaur drawn by Utamaro; it is considered today as a classic Japanese work representative of the ukiyo-e artistic movement. The colorful painting captured on paper is now on display in museums around the world where it continues to inspire future generations to remind them that we are not so different from the ancient creatures we have always admired so much...
