Picture of Bernese mountain dog Ukiyo-e

Origin Story

A young man, Tatsuya, lived in a small village on the border of Japan and China. He was very happy to live here because he loved animals and spent a lot of time taking care of the dogs that lived there. Among them was a beautiful Bernese Mountain Dog he had adopted and was very proud of.

One day, while Tatsuya was walking his dog in the village, he met a famous artist named Toshusai. The artist was fascinated by the adorable Bernese Mountain Dog and asked Tatsuya if she could take a picture of him to make an ukiyo-e (image printed on paper). Of course, Tatsuya agreed immediately because he knew it would make his dog happy.

A few days later, Toshusai returned with a magnificent ukiyo-e depicting Tatsuya's Bernese Mountain Dog. When he saw the work done by the artist, he was amazed by its precision and beauty. He was so happy that he decided to keep this painting as a keepsake to always remember how special his dog was to him.
