Picture of Leopard Ukiyo-e

Origin Story

Once upon a time there was a leopard named Torii. He was very handsome and had bright and intense colors on his fur. All the animals in the forest thought he was magnificent and they were all very jealous of him.

One day, while walking in the forest, he met an artist who was looking to capture his image to make an ukiyo-e - a traditional Japanese painting. The artist was immediately fascinated by the leopard and decided that it should be immortalized in this ancient art form.

With patience, the artist worked for several days to create an exceptional work representing the magnificent Torii. Once completed, it was exhibited to the public where it had great success. The beauty of the leopard was said to be so captivating that everyone who looked at the painting instantly fell in love with it.

Since that day, every time someone admires a Leopard ukiyo-e made by Torii, one is reminded of this wondrous animal whose beauty inspired an artist to create a masterful work that endures to this day.
