Picture of Tiger Ukiyo-e

Origin Story

The tiger was a wild and powerful animal, which haunted the forests of the mountains of the province of Kii. The locals nicknamed him "Tora", the fierce warrior. The tiger had incredible strength, capable of defeating the greatest enemies.

One day, an artist named Torii Kiyonaga heard of the great tiger and decided to go looking for him to create an ukiyo-e (a printed image) that would do justice to his magnificent spirit. After weeks of traveling, he finally found the tiger and began painting it on canvas with its bright colors and elegant lines. He spent hours capturing every detail of the magnificent animal: the flowing curve of its tail, the raw strength in its yellow eyes, the silky softness of its white fur... Every feature was unique and captivating.

Once completed, the ukiyo-e represented the tiger as it was: noble and powerful. It is still admired today as a priceless masterpiece that immortalizes this magical creature forever.
