Night Walk

Kelebogile Nyathi, a Marmot from Mahikeng village, was on his way to Pretoria. It was dark and the rain was pouring down that evening. Kelebogile felt a little sad because she hadn't been able to say goodbye to her friends before leaving. She walked through the streets until she came to Union Buildings, the city's landmark. The rain didn't seem to want to stop so Kelebogile decided to take a walk around the buildings to warm up and enjoy the calm that reigned there.


She noticed that the illuminated streetlights gave the buildings a magical atmosphere and she wanted to stay here longer. But she knew she should continue on her way to the neighborhood where her parents lived. However, she took the time to admire this special place a little more before resuming her walk in the wet streets of Pretoria.
