Night Walk

It was a rainy night in Athens. The streets were deserted and the only sounds that could be heard were the sound of the rain hitting the ground and the roofs of the houses. Isaiah Koroneios, a gorilla, walked quietly through this sleeping city. He had decided to take this moment to reconnect with himself and enjoy the calm of the night.


He started by skirting the Acropolis, an iconic place in Athens that once housed temples dedicated to the Greek gods. When he reached the top of the hill, he took a deep breath and gazed at the landscape illuminated by the streetlamps in the distance. The view was beautiful and he felt calmer than ever.


Isaiah continued his walk downhill towards the city center where he passed several historical monuments such as the Ancient Agora and Syntagma Square. The rain didn't seem to want to stop but it didn't seem to spoil his mood; on the contrary, it made his walk even more peaceful than it would have been in normal times.


After driving through the whole city, Isaiah finally stopped on a small hill near the port of Piraeus to once again admire the nighttime beauty of Athens as a gray veil covered everything around him. He sat for a long time reflecting on his life and realizing the choices he was going to make for his near future; this nocturnal stroll had had exactly the expected effect!
