Night Walk

It was a rainy night in Kampala, and Erica Katusiime, the hippopotamus, decided to take a stroll through the streets to get some fresh air. She walked for a long time before stopping in front of the emblematic monument of the city: the National Parliament of Uganda. The rain was falling gently and the air was fresh and pure. Erica looked around in awe: she could see the towering buildings surrounding the parliament building, the tall trees lining the road, and even a few people walking quietly despite the late hour.

She continued her walk towards Lake Victoria where she could admire the sunset in the distance on the horizon. The sky was beautiful with shades of orange and pink illuminating the calm surface of the lake. When she returned to the city center, she stopped at several places to take advantage of the cool breeze that blew intermittently between the tall, narrow buildings of Kampala. She savored every moment spent breathing this pure and fresh air that only the night can offer to the inhabitants of the city!
