The wolf is an animal that lives in a variety of habitats, including forests, grasslands, mountains, and even urban areas. Wolves are known for their intricate burrows and adaptation to harsh environmental conditions. They are very territorial and tend to establish territories of several square kilometers which they defend against other predators. Wolves feed mainly on game such as deer, hares and foxes, but they can also consume wild fruits and insects. They often hunt in packs to capture their prey.
