The French Bulldog was bred to live in indoor environments. It is adaptable to all types of climates and can be comfortably housed indoors or outdoors. However, it is not made for the great outdoors and should be watched carefully while playing so it does not overheat. The French Bulldog will do well in an enclosed outdoor space, such as a patio or backyard surrounded by a tall, safe fence. When properly trained, they can also enjoy short, regular walks on a leash.
