Bath Ritual

Chameleons wash themselves by licking their bodies with their tongues. Their saliva contains enzymes that help dissolve dust and impurities on their skin. They may also gently rub their eyes to clean themselves. Chameleons are very sensitive to water, so they don't take baths in a tub or stream like many other animals do.
