Biography

Xue Dan Dan was a female bulldog born on March 26, 1950 in China. She grew up in a loving and caring family that encouraged her passion for space exploration. At the age of 18, she enrolled in the University of Space Sciences and graduated in 1975.


After graduating, Xue Dan Dan became a professional astronaut and worked for different Chinese space agencies. She participated in several important missions, including the Tiangong-1 mission in 2011 which aimed to test new technologies for habitable orbital stations. In 2015, she also took part in China's Chang'e 3 lunar program which aimed to land on the Moon.


Throughout her career as an astronaut, Xue Dan Dan has distinguished herself with her exceptional determination and courage that have inspired many people around the world. Unfortunately, she died on February 18, 2022 following a long illness that she had been fighting for several years. His invaluable contribution to space exploration will remain etched in the collective memory of future generations as a remarkable example of courage and pioneering spirit.
