Timofeeva Zoya Vladimirovna the Fox was a Russian astronaut born on July 21, 1973. She grew up in Moscow and began her career as an astronaut at the age of twenty, after obtaining a degree in space science. She quickly distinguished herself by her ambition and her determination, which allowed her to be chosen to participate in several space missions.


During her career, she became famous for being the first woman to fly alone on a manned mission to Mars in 2002. This mission was a success and she then became a national heroine. She also participated in missions on the Mir station and the Russian artificial satellites Cosmos-3M and Molniya-1T.


Sadly, Timofeeva passed away on November 27, 2019 while on a mission to the International Space Station (ISS). His tragic death will be etched in the memories of Russians forever. Although her life was short, she marked the history of space flight thanks to the exploits she accomplished during her brilliant career as an astronaut.
