Soldier Story

Jaroslav Slašťan was a young soldier from Bratislava in Slovakia. He had grown up in a modest and very patriotic family, which had inspired him to enlist in the army to defend his country.


Jaroslav was a very talented soldier and he was distinguished by his bravery and discipline. He had worked hard to climb the military ranks and he had finally reached the rank of captain. His military career was flourishing, but that was not enough for Jaroslav. He wanted to serve his country more than anything else and he dreamed of being able to help Slovakia overcome the difficulties it would go through in the years to come.


One day, Jaroslav was called to take part in a special mission: to protect the Slovak border against enemy incursions. This mission required a lot of courage and determination on the part of the young captain, but he succeeded brilliantly in his mission and was thus able to protect the Slovak territory against the hostile forces which tried to invade the country. The bravery that Jaroslav demonstrated during this mission did not go unnoticed by the high Slovak military authorities who quickly promoted him to the higher rank of colonel so that he could continue to serve his country with honor and dignity.


Since that day, Jaroslav has remained faithful to the duty he imposed on himself: to protect the native land he cherished so much until his death unexpectedly caught up with him while he was still actively guarding the Slovak border against any possible or imagined external threat.
