Biography

José de Egger was a Swiss cosmonaut born on November 17, 1960. He became interested in space from an early age and decided to dedicate his life to exploring the farthest reaches of the universe. After obtaining a degree in astronomy, he joined the European Space Agency where he spent years training astronauts and presenting ambitious projects.


In 1995, José was chosen to participate in the first manned trip to Mars. He carried out the mission successfully and became an international celebrity. His bravery and courage were hailed by the world scientific community. His work also allowed scientists to learn much more about our solar system and its unexplored mysteries.


Sadly, on June 7, 2000, José lost his life in a tragic accident while on a training flight for another Mars mission scheduled for later that year. His death was greeted with sadness by all who had known him or admired his outstanding career.


Today, José is still honored as a distinguished guest among the great figures of human space exploration; A fearless bull who reminds us that nothing can stop our boldest dreams!
